Watch: This David Alaba own goal is the sloppiest you'll see today

David Alaba won’t want to see this again.

OH DAVID.

AUSTRIA may well be many pundits’ dark horses for Euro 2016 after going undefeated in their qualifying group but David Alaba is going to have to improve his concentration if they’re to succeed at this summer’s showpiece.

The Bayern Munich defender, perhaps the best-known player in the Austrian squad, passed the ball back to his goalkeeper Ramazan Ozcan with just minutes left on the clock as they led Malta 2-0.

Crucially, the 23-year-old failed to look up and passed the ball directly into his own net giving the visitors a goal despite failing to register a single shot on target in the game.

The Austrians still have one more friendly to play against the Netherlands before kicking off their Euro 2016 campaign against Hungary in Group F.

However, if they are to cause a shock in France this summer, they’ll have to be less sloppy than this.
